ENSA General Assembly 2009

The ENSA General Assembly 2009 took place in Helsinki, Finland on the 11th, 12th and 13th May.

The Assembly was the occasion for an overview on accessibility projects and policies in Helsinki. In addition, focus was also put on European Quality in Social Services in particular the EQUASS System. This system has been tested in the disability, elderly and child care services. Representatives of the UNCCAS have been actively involved, launching collaboration proposals with the Elisan network.

The exchanges of best practices were held during 3 days and study visits were organized in Tallinn. Social and health services, family violence, integration of disabled youth, rehabilitation of drug addicts were the targets of the visits. The Child thematic group Uppsala handed over the chairmanship to West Sweden and Valencia. After the General Assembly, a Child network meeting was held. Study visits were organized across the Baltic Sea, in Tallin under the coordination of West Sweden and Valencia.
