32nd World Alzheimer’s Day

On the occasion of the 32nd World Alzheimer’s Day, ENSA – in collaboration with the Elisabetta Germani Foundation, the Lombardy Region and other international partners – is organising a series of events in Cremona on 15 and 16 September 2025.

Two days full of scientific contributions, European experiences and networking opportunities, aimed at promoting innovation, good practices and support networks to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their families.

Cremona hosts two events for the 32nd World Alzheimer’s Day

15 September – “Beyond diagnosis, there is life. Innovations tailored to Alzheimer’s”

📍 Cascina Colombarone, Cingia de’ Botti (Cremona)
An ECM-accredited day (7.8 credits), led by Dr Isabella Salimbeni (Medical Director, E. Germani Foundation), focusing on:

  • new clinical and psychosocial approaches in early care;
  • European projects such as SACRED and INTRINSIC;
  • innovative methods including the STIP Method and Inclusive Neighbourhood Communities;
  • the role of artificial intelligence and creativity in care.

The afternoon session will address the crucial theme of legislation, professional ethics and restraint practices, with contributions from experts such as Luca Degani, Mons. Renzo Pegoraro and Letizia Espanoli.

16 September – ENSA Meetings on Ageing and Disability

📍 Aula Magna, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Cremona Campus
A day of discussion organised with ENSA and the Lombardy Region, structured in two sessions:

  • Policies and innovative practices for elderly care, with presentations of European projects (SACRED, STIP Method, INTRINSIC), international experiences and new care technologies;
  • Application of the Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC) model and future perspectives to improve assistance and quality of life for people with dementia.

The day will end with a networking cocktail.
